The Outdoor Classroom
Developed in collaboration with schools
Nature provides an unstructured classroom in which children develop creatively, intellectually, physically, emotionally and socially.
This program introduces children, teachers and early childhood educators to a way of being in the outdoors that can help stimulate childhood development as well as connect adults more deeply with the natural environment. The program involves collaborating with teachers to design and deliver an “outdoor classroom” session. Teachers feel confident practicing outdoor classroom activities in future and understand the underlying pedagogy.
- The Eco leadership Project is helping young people connect with the outdoors for learning, restoration and wellbeing, We design and lead programs for schools and youth groups.
The Eco Leadership Project is a Catalyst Mind initiative.
